The Benefits of Fasting God's Way!

Fasting has been an integral of human history from ancient times. The Jewish people, Christians and Muslims alike have practiced the art of fasting for many generations.  In the Jewish culture and Christianity fasting has been embraced in accordance with Old and New Testament teachings from the time of Moses (Exodus 34:28), unto the time of Christ (Luke 4:1-2), and the Apostles (Acts 14:23).  Muslims have also practiced fasting from ancient times during Ramadan for generations. Contrary to fasting that is practiced by Christians and Jews, Muslims fast during the 9th month of the Islamic calendar, which lasts from 29-30 days, during which time they refrain from eating, drinking, smoking and sex. Fasting as practiced by Muslims is intended to teach about patience, spirituality, submissiveness, and humility to God.  Whereas, the fast that the Jewish people and Christians observe is for the purpose of transforming lives, cleansing, purification, deliverance, spiritual empowerment, the supernatural release of God's power, divine healing and producing "fruit" that exemplifies Godly character.  Other reasons why fasting is important according to the Holy Bible are to crucify the flesh, hear the voice of God, strengthen one's faith, to discipline the soul and produce a healthy lifestyle. I am convinced when God's people fast and pray to seek His face and not His hand deliverance and healing becomes a reality in every area of your life.
2Ch 7:14 , "and [if] My people, My God-defined people, respond by humbling themselves, praying, seeking My presence, and turning their backs on their wicked lives, I'll be there ready for you: I'll listen from heaven, forgive their sins, and restore their land to health."  (Message Bible)
2 Chronicles 7:14, "If My people, which are called by My name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."
Fasting gets amazing results when it's practiced according to Scripture.
It provides healing and restoration in the lives of God's people.
Matthew 17:14-21, says, "And when they were come to the multitude, there came to him a certain man, kneeling down to him, and saying,  Lord, have mercy on my son: for he is lunatick, and sore vexed: for ofttimes he falleth into the fire, and oft into the water. And I brought him to thy disciples, and they could not cure him. Then Jesus answered and said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him hither to me. And Jesus rebuked the devil; and he departed out of him: and the child was cured from that very hour. Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out?  And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.  Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting."
In the context of this particular passage of Scripture the disciples weren't able to cast the devil out of the boy due to a lack of spiritual preparation through prayer and fasting, which lets us know that if we want to obtain real results in spiritual conflict and battle with the wicked one we must be willing to fast and pray so that the impossible becomes possible, and we can obtain maximum and out-sized results.
God, speaking through the prophet Isaiah in the book of Isaiah 58:1-14, says, v.1 Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins. 2 Yet they seek me daily, and delight to know my ways, as a nation that did righteousness, and forsook not the ordinance of their God: they ask of me the ordinances of justice; they take delight in approaching to God. 3 Wherefore have we fasted, say they, and thou seest not? wherefore have we afflicted our soul, and thou takest no knowledge? Behold, in the day of your fast ye find pleasure, and exact all your laborers. 4 Behold, ye fast for strife and debate, and to smite with the fist of wickedness: ye shall not fast as ye do this day, to make your voice to be heard on high. 5 Is it such a fast that I have chosen? a day for a man to afflict his soul? is it to bow down his head as a bulrush, and to spread sackcloth and ashes under him? wilt thou call this a fast, and an acceptable day to the LORD? 6 Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke? 7 Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh? 8 Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the LORD shall be thy re-reward. 9 Then shalt thou call, and the LORD shall answer; thou shalt cry, and he shall say, Here I am. If thou take away from the midst of thee the yoke, the putting forth of the finger, and speaking vanity;10 And if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall thy light rise in obscurity, and thy darkness be as the noonday: 11 And the LORD shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not." (Refer to Isaiah 58:12-14 of the Bible)
First of all, the prophet Isaiah begins to correct Israel's concept of fasting in verses 1-5, which was really selfish and ignored the real needs. God wasn't pleased with their religious formalities that were steeped in tradition, because they fasted for "strife and debate" as is depicted in verse 4. In addition, all forms of political, social and economic injustice was taking place just as it is today, but in verses 6-14, Isaiah begins a discourse clarifying the meaning of true fasting for Israel, one that God had chosen stipulating the kind of fast that would be acceptable to Him.
It is very important for us to understand how to truly seek God's face
and embrace the kind of fast that is acceptable to Him.  Here are a few conditions which are described as being a part of a successful fast God's way:
having mercy  benevolence  kindness  self-denial  set the captives free
honoring the Sabbath  pure worship  true love of God
If we ascribe to the kind of fast that God requires then we will experience the magnificent results that God promised to give us.
The results He promised in return are as follows:
Light promised  health promised  Divine protection  answered prayer
guidance  satisfaction  living water restoration  exaltation bestowed
inheritance bestowed
The whole meaning and premise for the kind of fast that God has chosen according to the Bible is to "abstain from food" and those things that are prescribed by the Scriptures to bring God's will to pass in your life personally and in the lives of others for His glory.
I remember vividly the day in which my mother taught me to fast as a young girl.  Since that day to this one, I have fasted many times throughout the years, and have experienced major miracles in my life as well as in the lives of countless others through my ministry.  Fasting enjoined with prayer creates momentum in the realm of the spirit and causes you to accrue power that is dynamic in it's working.  If you want to experience optimal results in the Kingdom of God, I encourage you to seek His face in earnest prayer and fasting as it is described in the Bible.
One of my favorite books on fasting and prayer is entitled "When Kings Pray & Fast" written by my mentor and father in faith, H.R.M. King Adamtey I (King of the Se State of Ghana West Africa). He is known in private life as Dr. Kingsley Fletcher.  This book will absolutely ignite your passion and hunger for God through the power of prayer and fasting.  I highly recommend it, and am confident that you'll be gloriously impacted by it's teachings.

Live the Life of Your Dreams!

Our dreams are very important because they are a reflection of our innermost desires and oftentimes are a subconscious reflection of what God has in-store for us. In order to live the life of our dreams we must live on purpose.  Only a purpose filled life will enable us to go where we want to go and do what we want to do. Our lives must also be viewed and predicated on the will of God for us. Therefore, when we envision and dream about the kind of life it is that we desire to have, we must
go to God first and ask Him what He had in mind from the beginning, and what was His original intent.  Our dreams can truly be fulfilled and we can maximize our greatest potential when we talk to the Master Designer about everything.
Since God knows the end from the beginning it behooves us to consult with Him about our lives so that we can evaluate and measure our greatest dreams and desires against His intentions rather than earthly lusts, appetites and fleshly desires.  You can have that beautiful home, car, friends, and things that you earnestly desire, but what matters most is that the "Life of Your Dreams" is Kingdom oriented and puts God's agenda first.
In the western culture people tend to put more emphasis and give more attention to earthly things, pursuits, and interests above and beyond those of God.  Think about it!
Now, lets do a self check.  Please indulge me by answering a few questions regarding your own experience and pursuit of things.
1)  Have you been blessed to accomplish at least a few of your personal goals?
2)  Who do you attribute the appreciation and honor to for having accomplished these things?
3)  Since you've been blessed to go places, achieve goals, and fulfill various aspects of your dreams have you become more consumed by them or have you grown deeper and become stronger in the Lord than before you celebrated and enjoyed the pleasure of the achievement?
The last question requires a great deal of honesty from within our hearts, because oftentimes things have a subtle way of becoming a disr-
action from the Blesser, who is God Himself. Don't allow your blessing
to rob you of your relationship with the One who made it possible in the first place.  Lets remember that without God we can do nothing. It is God who gives us the strength, enabling grace, favor and resources to make our dreams a reality. He has nothing against His people prospering and increasing in everything that is good, but God abhors idolatry, and that's where many Christians have fallen short.
"Thou shalt have no other gods before me."  Exodus 20:3
"Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant. And my tongue shall speak of thy righteousness and of thy praise all the day long."
Psalms 35:27-28
Think of it like this, 'the pursuit of my dreams and goals are great as long as they are aligned with God's righteous cause, bring glory and honor to His name, and help to serve others as I advance the Kingdom   of God in the earth today.' When we make His righteous cause our focus and will give God all the praise when He causes us to fulfill our dreams then a greater purpose is served, because we cease to do things for self-centered reasons and seek to please the Lord first above everything else.
The last thing I would like to ask you is, "Are you ready for your dreams to come to pass?"  "Are you preparing for them to happen, and are you aligning yourself with God in prayer, fasting and giving into His kingdom so that His favor and blessing are with you in all that you set your hands to do?"  The fulfillment of your dreams positions you and empowers you to give witness and testimony of God's glory to others.  It also brings a tremendous sense of accomplishment, satisfaction and fulfillment to your heart when you know that you are serving a greater purpose through your dreams than selfish desires.
"But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."  Matthew 6:33
Have a wonderfully blessed and prosperous journey in the Lord.

Unlocking the Potential Within

As we journey through life oftentimes we have opportunities presented to us which can cause our greatest abilities, gifts, and talents to rise out of obscurity and become gloriously recognized and revealed.  I want to encourage you not to allow anything to cause you to miss your moment, those opportunities to manifest your greatest potential in life.
Potential is defined by Merriam-Webster as: 1) existing in possibility: capable of development into actuality < potential benefits> 2) expressing possibility
In physics, potential energy is the energy stored in a body or in a system due to its position in a force field or to its configuration. Energy cannot be created, destroyed or disappear, but it can be stored.  Therefore, it can be reasoned that your potential arrived with you at birth.  It was all included and stored in the package.  You were born with incredible potential on the inside, and no one can destroy your potential.  You must release it!  In fact, you were pre-destined (pre-wired) to express extraordinary characteristics and traits that are unique to you.  No one else has the exact same thumb print or foot print as you do.  You are very special in your make-up and DNA, but most importantly you have to recognize it.  For instance, there are twenty-three pairs of chromosomes in a human cell, and one of each pair is inherited from your father and the other from your mother.  This determines the color of your eyes, hair, skin tone, and the rest of your biological make-up.  In addition, if you were to break down an average human body into its individual atoms, and then lay the atoms out in a single straight line it would stretch about 550 trillion kilometers (km) or about 14 billion loops around the equator, which is equivalent to about 1.4 billion trips to the moon, or 58 light years from the earth.  The reality is, you have been "fearfully and wonderfully made."  (Psalms 139:14)
In order to release your greatest potential you have to understand that you are unique and powerful beyond belief.  When you begin to tap into the resevoir of creativity and genius that is stored in your interpersonal system, and excavate ideas, crafts, talents, skills, and abilities from your own treasure chest you'll unlock and release the purpose of God for your existence.  In fact, you were created in the "image and likeness" of God to reflect the divine nature and god-gene that lies within you.
(Genesis 1:26)
"But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us."
(2 Corinthians 4:7)
You are perfect for what God created and designed you to do, and He sovereignly sends certain people across your path in order to present opportunities for you to tap into your greatest potential and express your gifts, talents, and abilities in order to share them with others.
There are at least four forms of potential that you need to be able to recognize when you see it.  They are as follows:
Untapped resources: Often times people neglect to maximize their greatest potential because they fail to take advantage of the resources that are available to them such as, relational resources, spiritual resources, financial resources, material resources, technological resources, natural resources, and intellectual resources.  For example, untapped potential comes in the form of people that you may or may not have met, but have not maximized your connection with.
Dormant abilities:  People with dormant abilities have great talents, skills and abilities laying dormant within them, and are not using them in order to release their full potential and capacity.  These people are usually jealous, even critical and judgmental of others who are functioning and operating successfully in the same areas of gifting and abilities that they already have.  An example of dormant ability is when life brings various kinds of circumstances, challenges and tests to us which causes the talents, abilities and potential to surface and come out of us.
Unused power:  Everyone has power inside, but doesn't realize it.  For example, the power to focus, to dream, to love, to create, to invest, to change, to inspire, to motivate, to follow God, to forgive, to serve, to work, to learn, to apply what we learn, to concentrate, to recover, to excel, and to live victorious lives.  Having all of this power is great, but only if we use it. In order to do so it is extremely important for us not to allow ourselves to be reactive in life, but choose to be proactive instead, and use our power deliberately and intentionally.
Unfulfilled purpose:  You may know your purpose, but not maximize the potential of your purpose.  This means that you should aim for the highest degree of accomplishment within the sphere and pursuit of your purpose.  You want to be excited about your purpose and enjoy the fulfillment it.  Dedicate and commit to further development in your area of expertise with passion and enthusiasm.  This can be done by pursuing new methodologies, fresh cutting-edge ideas, information and strategies through books, seminars, webinars, conferences, workshops, panel discussions, and personal or group coaching.1
All forms of potential come in untapped resources, dormant abilities, unused power, and unfulfilled purpose.  Each of these forms is simply waiting for your intelligent action to transform them from possibilities to realities in your life.  Don't cheat the world out of enjoying your potential, but remember that ultimate fulfillment only reveals itself when your potential is maximized.  Be sure to keep the right people, attitude, and resources around your potential and it will develop and grow beyond your wildest dreams.
What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.

The Image of God in You

As people of God and believers in our Lord Jesus Christ, we have been given the wonderful and extraordinary privilege of representing Him in the world today.  We have many opportunities to reflect and exemplify His love, which is not a feeling, but a result of the manifestation of God's Holy Spirit, along with the rest of the fruit of the spirit, in our hearts.  Love is defined by the word "agape" in the Greek language. It is a virtue that is characterized as "fruit" in contrast to "works" of the flesh. In fact, love can also be described in terms of "cause and affect." When we allow the fruit of God's love to manifest through us towards others it causes incredible things such as healing and restoration of relationships, recovery from physical ailments, and inner peace of mind to occur.  The resulting affect is that lives are changed for the better.  As Christians we have been ordained by God to share the fruit of the spirit as we live, work and interact with others every day. (Galatians 5:22)
Galatians 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, (23) Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
It is very important for us to recognize that the world is looking for answers and solutions to its issues and problems, and they are looking for that which is real and genuine.  God has released His Church, the ecclesia, as a part of His heavenly kingdom and governmental organization, into the earth to express the "fullness of the stature of Christ" before people as we live among them daily. (Ephesians 4:13)  You and I have been chosen by God to be change agents, kingdom ambassadors, emmisaries and diplomats in this world.  In doing so, we must utilize all of our gifts, talents, abilities and expertise to share the gospel of the kingdom with them, but not without the fruit of the spirit.  When we aim at doing this we will inevitably fulfill and maximize our own potential.  Contributing to the well-being of others is the highest and most commendable way to personal fulfillment and self actualiza-tion.
In order to effectively communicate with the people of our generation we must reflect the image of Jesus Christ with authenticity.  In doing so, an important question to answer is, "What does the image of Christ look like, and how do I acquire it?"  First of all, Jesus Christ was the "brightness" or reflection and embodiment of God in the flesh.  He was the "express image" of God as seen in Hebrews 1:3, which is derived from the Greek word "charakter", representing the "exact expression, or impression as when metal is pressed into a die, or as a seal upon wax."  In fact the Scriptures tell us that in our Lord and King Jesus Christ "dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily."  (Colossians 2:9)
Hebrews 1:3, "Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high."
Our primary aim and desire should be to exemplify and emulate the same kind of character that Christ did while He was here on earth understanding that God is love, and God is holy.  (1 John 4:16; 1 Peter 1:16)  Love is not simply what God does, but expression of who He is.  Likewise, holiness is not what God does either.  Holiness is who God is.  It is His nature.
In the book of 2 Corinthians 3:18, it helps us to understand much more about the process that occurs when we devote and commit ourselves to being transformed into the "image" of the Lord.
2 Corinthians 3:18, "But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord."
First of all, no one who is born again by the Spirit of God is exempt from the process of being changed "into the same image" of our Lord.  However, there are stipulations on how this amazing transformation process is to occur.  There must be an "open face" on the part of every individual in order for it to take place.  What this means is that everyone, without exemption, has to come to God with his or her heart and mind open to receive exactly what God wants to do in our lives, without pre-conceived ideas, barriers of our past religious experiences, forms of internal resistance, or anything else that would hinder and even stop the process of transformation from occurring.  We must simply allow the Holy Spirit to do His job as we pier and look into the mirror of God's word ever day. Oh what a glorious change that occurs in the hearts and lives of anyone who would dare to trust God and allow Holy Spirit to perform a complete make-over in our inner man, hearts and minds.  It will take us from "glory to glory" into a realm and dimension or place in God that we only dreamed about before.
James 1:25, "But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed."
In response to the question asked in the beginning of this week's blog, "What does the image of Christ look like, and how do I acquire it?"  The image of God is His character.  It is the reflection of His attributes, manner of life, and way of doing things as expressed through the life of His Son Jesus Christ while He lived on in this world.  You see, Jesus came to restore us back to the Father, and to redeem, deliver, and set us free from sin, satan's stronghold, and all evil.  Our Lord and King Jesus Christ came that we "might have life, and have it more abundantly."  (John 10:10)  The way to ensure that you acquire the image of God is through the transformational process that happens when you meditate upon the word of God every day, allowing the Holy Spirit to illuminate your heart and mind.  This brings the believer into proper alignment with God in character and holiness as we are "washed by the water of the word."  (Ephesians 5:26)  It is the word of God that cleanses us and rids us of our old ways, belief systems, manner of doing things, and expressing ourselves that is contrary and hostile to the Spirit and nature of God Himself.  The word of God is the "perfect law of liberty." It sets us free, not to live carnal, fleshly, irresponsible, reckless or self-centered lives that are void of responsibility and purpose, but to be able to serve God freely and to do His will pursue His purpose, plans and Kingdom in such a way that we become an authentic reflection of the Master of our souls, Jesus Christ the King of kings and Lord of Lords.
I want to encourage you to allow Holy Spirit to minister in your heart and life today.  Allow Him to continue the incredible work and process of transforming you into the "image" of our Lord and King as you study the word of God and hunger and thirst for His righteous every day.  Remember, the most important meal you can eat every day is the word of God. Thank you for joining this week's blog conversation.

Manifesting the Kingdom of God in the Earth

In order to manifest, exemplify and reflect the kingdom of God in the earth realm, we must first understand what the Kingdom of God is and how it operates. First of all, the kingdom of God is "a majestic realm, a great and powerful empire, a monarchy, and a royal dominion that demands absolute loyalty to the King. Every subject must be willing to give his or her life for the King."  Isaiah, the prophet, shared it so eloquently.
Isaiah 66:1 Thus saith the LORD, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool.
The book of Psalms 115:16, depicts it so well also.
The heaven, even the heavens, are the LORD'S: but the earth hath he given to the children of men.
Our heavenly Father has ordained in His Sovereign wisdom to allow man to govern and possess the earth, but with the condition that we will honor Him in the process.
Romans 12:1  I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
In light of God's magnificent plan for man's redemption from sin, death, and destruction, as well as all of the benefits it brings to us as Christians, we should respond appropriately. We should offer our lives and our bodies "all that we are" as living sacrifices to God everyday as a rational response to God's mercies towards us.  An old song that we sang in church throughout the years portrays how I believe we should respond to God.  It simply says, "When I think of the goodness of Jesus, and all He has done for me, my soul cries our hallelujah, I praise God for saving me!"  In appreciation for His sacrifice on our behalf, we should be willing to give Him our all every day.
As Christians we must see Jesus Christ beyond His role as our Savior and Redeemer alone, and understand that He is a King!  He is the Sovereign, most high God, whom we must submit to and obey.  Many people would balk at the idea of submission and obedience to God.  They prefer to live according to their fleshly passions, desires, and appetites without any accountability to a Sovereign God and King, but the privileges and benefits of being a citizen of the kingdom of heaven far out-weigh anything the world can offer.  Our God is holy and righteous.  He is awesome in all of His ways.  God has no desire to oppress, destroy or overwhelm His people with heavy burdens.  To the contrary, Jesus said, "I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." (John 10:10b)  The amplified version of the Bible reads, "I am come that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).
God desires for mankind to be restored to His original intent as His personal representatives, vice-regents, emissaries, and ambassadors in the earth according to the book of Genesis 1:26-27.
Genesis 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
Genesis 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
Genesis 1:28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
You see, beloved, God wants to extend His reign, sovereign rule and kingdom into the earth through a man or woman just like you.  He created you for dominion, which is to have "mastery, rule, reign, and prevail" over your personal affairs, circumstances, and situations in life through the authority of His word. It is His desire for you to take dominion over sin, satan (the wicked one, the accuser of the brethren), and all that is evil.
Luke 10:19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
You have been given the authoritative right to take dominion, govern, rule, reign and enforce divine kingdom order by the word of God over all evil, inclusive of sin, evil spirits, and godless systems, atmospheres and environments as kingdom ambassadors. (Ephesians 2:4-6)
God created you in His "image" and after His "likeness", to be a creative thinking being; one who has the capacity to make decisions, judgments, establish and legislate policies, overcome obstacles, affect systems, and re-establish His rule in the earth through your relationship with Him.
2 Corinthians 5:20 Now then we are ambassadors [representatives] for Christ,   as though  God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.
You are a powerful being who has been given the distinct honor and privilege of representing Jesus Christ as an emissary and ambassador of His kingdom.  When you truly understand the magnitude of God's purpose and love for you, and comprehend the price He paid through the shed blood of Jesus Christ on Calvary to deliver you from the grip of the wicked one, death, hell, and the grave, it will become a pleasure to dedicate your life to Christ and represent His image and character in this world.
We are living in a godless age and society, which requires for us to reflect the character and image of God throughout every system - educationally, politically/governmentally, economically, scientifically, technologically, in entertainment, family, and the church.  It takes nothing less than the power and authority of God to influence, impact and affect meaningful change in the world today.
We must own up to our responsibility to reflect His image and character by allowing the "fruit of the spirit", as illustrated in Galatians 5:22-23, "love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance"  to flow through our lives towards others.  When we possess  strong core values and convictions that are based upon the standards of God's word, which includes having integrity, discipline, trustworthiness, faithfulness, dependability, honesty, wisdom, and a victorious attitude that we begin to affect and influence the lives of others in a beneficial and lasting way.
The purpose of God is to extend His kingdom reach and influence into the earth through His people as vice-regents, emmissaries and ambassadors. We can affect positive change in every sphere of influence, environment, and system as we exemplify His character, standards, and values in our business affairs, on our jobs, in our homes, churches and communities.
It's time to manifest the kingom of God today!
Romans 8:19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sonsofGod.

Praying Strategically and Effectively

When we connect with heaven through effective strategic praying we recieve the manifestation of God's perfect will regarding what we are praying for.  The importance of prayer in accordance with the word of God cannot be under estimated.  Since prayer is cultivated out of our relationship with God, and not just a mere request made in passing, it is necessary for us to understand the resulting affects of prayer in our daily lives and business affairs.  In fact our relationship with God will ultimately determine the outcome of everything about us - spiritually, mentally, emotionally, physically, relationally and economically.  The sooner that we acknowledge Him concerning every aspect of our existence, the more we'll see His purposes manifest accordingly.
Earnest prayer is a matter of heartfelt relationship with the Father God in heaven.  Therefore, when we pray we are communicating from our platform on earth into a dimension that we cannot see with our physical eyes.  Prayer actually transcends the natural realm into the spiritual realm and causes awesome things to happen.  Everything that can be seen, held, touched and tasted in this natural world was once an invisible reality before it ever became a physival one. Once it was desired in the heart of God, He spoke it into existence, and then it became a reality in the earth.
Heb 11:3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
We, likewise have been endowed with the same ability to create the context, reality, and existence that we desire by our words as they are cultivated by the desires of our hearts.  That's why it is extremely important to meditate on the word of God daily, guard our hearts with all diligence, and speak life so that we can experience and enjoy the full benefits of our covenant relationship with Him. After all, we are created in His image and likeness. (Genesis 1:26)  We have been given the power and authority to construct or reconstruct things in accordance with the word of God.  It is done through our divine connection in the spirit, birthed out of a supernatural relationship and merger forged in our covenant with Him.  1Corinthians 6:17, denotes, "He that is joined to the Lord is one spirit."  God has given unto us the incredible opportunity to become joined, united, associated, and partnered with Him in an eternal alliance that has enormous benefits, privileges, and rights as well as responsibilities.  As we delve into the word of God and excavate all of the promises, directives and statutes associated with the awesome covenant that we have been given, only then can we begin to pray effectively and strategically, and obtain the greatest results.
1Jn 5:14-15 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: (15) And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.
God is listening to hear the voices of His people in prayer. He is waiting with great anticipation for us to pursue the magnificent reality of His covenant promises to us through earnest strategic effective praying. To pray strategically is to pray with a plan and goal for a specific outcome based upon the word of God.  I want to encourage you to meditate on the word of God and commune with Him concerning your personal life, business, relationships, health, finances, and future.  When you pray from God's perspective you can make a lasting difference and impact economic systems, government, education, entertainment, families, marriages and churches.  You can actually benefit personally as well as see the manifestation of His glory, presence, power, and authority in this world.
James 5:16b The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
The prayer of a person living right with God is something powerful to be reckoned with.  (James 5:16b, Message Bible)
Lets join together and pray fervently, "Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done,"  for our nation, leaders, churches, salvation of souls, and fulfillment of God's will concerning your life, marriage, family, finances, health, business affairs and future.
It is our desire to encourage and sharpen you spiritually and professionally. We welcome you to post your comments on this week's blog.  Thank you for joining this faith-filled community.   Also, feel free to leave your prayer request on our "Prayer Request" page so that we can agree with you for your breakthrough and the manifestation of God's will for your life.  It is our desire to see you maximize your potential and fulfill your destiny!

You're Worth the Investment

You're Worth the Investment!
You must believe in yourself, because God believed in you enough to present you to the world.  Yes, from the point of your birth, you were presented to your parents first.  How proud they must have been to see the new addition to the family.  You were a celebrity!  Well, what needs to be remembered is the Master Designer and Creator of the universe and everything that was made had you in His mind from the beginning.  God had a plan for your life before you were ever born.  Before your parents decided to have a child, God knew you.
"Like an open book, You watched me grow from conception to birth; all the stages of my life were set out before You, the days of my life were all prepared  before I'd even lived one day." (Psalm 139:16) ~Message Bible
Now you can be sure that He has the master blue print for you. When you pray, God will reveal it to you. Once the Master Plan has been revealed, then you should pursue it with all of your might!
Focus is a major key to the fulfillment of your purpose, goals, and destiny.  It is defined as an "image point."  The focus or "image point" is putting concentrated effort or attention on a particular thing.  Major success can be found in putting your greatest effort and attention upon your purpose, your calling, and the acquisition of making your dreams a reality during your lifetime.  When you apply yourself to sharpening your skills, in pursuit of God's original intent for your life, then success will become a by-product of your commitment to the cause of Christ concerning YOU!
Yes, it takes time to cultivate and sharpen your skills, talents, and abilities, but when you focus upon the greater goal and the prize of the high-calling of God that is set before you nothing will be able to stop you from becoming everything God planned from the beginning, and you'll be a blessing to your community, the nation and the world.
You are worth the investment!

Setting Goals with Excellence!

Thank you for joining us for this week's Blog Segment.  Our goal is to help you to "maximize your potential and fulfill your destiny" by providing principles and solutions that help to sharpen you spiritually and professionally.
Psalms 8:1, " O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!  Who hast set thy glory above the heavens."
When we are in the midst of planning and setting our goals we must keep in mind that God's name is excellent. The word "excellent" is defined as possessing outstanding quality or superior merit; remarkably good.  Even God's name and everything He does is characterized by excellence.  Likewise, our names and everything we do should also be characterized by excellence.
Psalms 19:1, "...The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork."
As we adopt and embrace the concept of excellence in our lives it will also be reflective in all of our plans and endeavors even as everything God has created declares and reflects His glory, which denotes excellence, honor, wealth, majesty, and renown.  Therefore, whatever you do should be marked by the highest level of quality and excellence, which is a reflection of who you are, and the standards you've set.
The following keys will help you in your quest to implement your personal goals clearly:
1) Create a Master Checklist of your top-10 goals that are in alignment with your core values.
2) State the "reasons" and "benefits" involved with each goal.
3) Prioritize your goals from the highest level of importance.
4) Set a realistic time frame for accomplishing each of your goals.
5) Create your own Picture Book with photos from magazines, brochures, postcards, etc., that are relective of your goals.
6) Develop a "Mastermind Group" of successful individuals who can inspire you, contribute to your personal success, and help sharpen you. These are people who have already accomplished what you are endeavoring to do.
7) Set aside a day each week to review and reflect upon your goals.
8) Measure your progress weekly.
For instance, you'll want to create a Master Checklist that includes your financial goals, and be specific about what you desire to earn in the next 12-months, 3, 5,10, and 20-years. Find a wealthy mentor to advise you. State the reason for your goal. For example, "I will be debt-free by December 2012". Be sure to use your Picture Book to visualize what you'll look like as a debt-free person, and how refreshed and relieved you'll be. Your goals may be spiritual, educational, financial, relational, to buy a home or car, but you must formulate a plan, implement it, and stay focused in order to make your goals a reality.
Quick Tips:
   * Know what God's Word says about it in the Bible
   * Write your goal down
   * Surround yourself with successful people
   * Visualize it
   * Implement it
Key: You Have to See It Before You See It In Order to See It!
Habakkuk 2:2, "And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it."

God is Interested In the Desires of Your Heart!

"Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass."  Psalms 37:4-5
What is the desire of the heart of a good man? It is this, to know, and love, and serve God. To delight in God is as much a privilege as a duty. God has not promised to gratify the appetites of the body, and humors of the our carnal minds, but the desires of the renewed, sanctified soul. When we commit the direction, goals and desires of    our hearts to God and seek His counsel out of a heart that is sold out   to serving His purposes and plans for our lives, He will give us the clarity that we need, and establish the desires of our hearts.
When your heart has been renewed by the word of God it will be very important to you that your desires and choices are pleasing to Him.   You will never take things for granted, but rather consider it an honor to commit everything unto the Lord.  There are certain areas of importance to be considered in establishing clearly defined goals and achieving them.  For instance:
1) Your personal goals must be true in adherence to your core values.
2) They must be meaningful to you.
3) Ensure that your goals are clearly defined, specific, and measurable.
4) They must be flexible, not rigid so that you can change up or alter them if necessary.
5) Your goals must stretch you, and be challenging.
6) They should be exciting to you.
7) Your goals must contribute to the enrichment and welfare of others in some way.
8) Be accountable to someone that you trust for accomplishing your goals.
Once you have implemented these principles in pursuit of your goals you will be on your way to experiencing greater levels of accomplishment and success.  Remember that God desires for you to prosper and reach the highest degree of joy and fulfillment in life as you seek to do His will first, and acknowledge Him in all your ways. "Trust Him, and He will bring it to pass."
I look forward to hearing from you.  So feel free to join the blog and leave your comments.

Hello Everyone,
It is with great pleasure that I have this opportunity to connect with you today.  This week's Blog Topic of Discussion is designed to help you become even more focused and aware of how you're setting meaningful and achievable goals.  Last week we shared in regards to the importance of prayer and how it contributes to our ability to focus and implement goals that are in alignment with God's purpose for our lives.  Let's go a step further now, and determine exactly what those goals are and map them out so that they are achievable.
Have you ever felt overwhelmed by the magnitude of things that you knew you needed to accomplish?  Well, you can overcome that feeling by notating your goals specifically and clearly in advance of setting out to accomplish them.  Then take steps to manage each goal by stating the who, what, when and where in regards to making it happen.  For busy people like you and me who have to schedule, coordinate and manage matters of importance everyday, this will help a whole lot.
Be sure to take your personal time of prayer and meditation seriously, because it is the place where you'll receive vital counsel and instruction from God.  Then write your plans down, and begin the process of setting and implementing the strategic goals that will help you get to the ultimate point of fulfilling your plans.
Course of Action:
Think about what I've shared with you today.  Please comment accordingly.  Lets enjoy the conversation.  I appreciate hearing from you.
