The choices we make come at a big price. The price of existing efficiently is that it leads to an empty, very shallow and frustrating life that is beneath your greatest potential and abilities. The cost of living an abundant life is that you must dedicate yourself to living authentically by getting rid of every self imposed fear, all of the lies from your past, be committed to develop, sharpen and maximize your greatest potential, and become the person you always wanted to be. You owe it to yourself to release the champion, the creative genius, and the victorious person hidden on the inside of you. Not only will it benefit you, but it will bless the world!
The average person spends at least 83,200 hours working in their lifetime. How we approach work and live our lives is an important part of how fulfilled, satisfied and content we are. You haven't really lived until you have found your life's purpose and a cause to concentrate your greatest focus and efforts towards. You see, life presents us with at least two choices. Either we can exist and barely survive or live abundantly as the Scriptures teach in 3 John 1:2, "Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth."
By simply making a conscious decision that you will live abundantly will affect and change many things in the world around you, and you don't have to be a politician, famous actor, celebrity, or business tycoon to make a difference. It's a matter of recognition and development. If people would begin to spend their time more effectively investing in themselves rather than tearing others down, or being jealous or envious of them, they would recognize that what they really want is already within themselves. Our purpose came from God, and we must go to Him as our Creator and Master Designer to find out what He made us for, and pursue it.
Statistically speaking, approximately ninety percent of people within our work force are existing, even if they enjoy what they do, rather than living abundantly. They go to work on Monday wishing that it was Friday already, or can hardly wait for Friday to hurry up and get there. The symptoms include just getting by, barely making it, and just making a living. Right up until this very moment you've done an efficient job of just existing, but from now on you're going to begin living an abundant life that is filled with joy, fulfillment and enthusiasm. The key is to frame your world around your greatest gifting, purpose and cause instead of forcing your life to be conformed, molded and shaped around your work; putting too much pressure on work to satisfy your life and it never will. What's even worse is, prioritizing work which cannot satisfy before a living God, who is the only one that cannot only satisfy the soul, but also give you a future and a hope that is filled with purpose and destiny.
Life was meant to be lived three-dimensionally! When it is lived three-dimensionally you're not merely living from birthday to birthday, but with purpose and fulfillment with great joy and satisfaction, because you're carrying out what you were designed and created to do. That's when you really start living understanding the height, depth, and width of your calling in life with intentionality and on purpose. So, never settle for a mere existence when you can LIVE ABUNDANTLY!
What a tragedy to have existed and never lived. ~Dr. Myles Monroe
